Creating a new Microsoft Online Shared Mailbox in Atria

OBJECTIVE

This article aims to provide guidance on how to create Microsoft Online Shared Mailboxes in Atria and to troubleshoot common issues. 

APPLIES TO

Atria Version 12.10+

Steps in Creating Shared Mailbox 

  1. Go to Customers Main Menu in the left pane > Click Customers > Search for the Customer.



  2. Click the Services menu then "Microsoft Online"


  3. Expand Microsoft Online and select "Shared Mailboxes"



  4. Click the + Add button and enter the details to create the Shared Mailbox > and then Click Save


  5. Once the Shared Mailbox has been created successfully, expand it and enter other information needed on the available fields as shown below and then click Save. 



Commonly Encountered Errors

This feature is only available if at least one user in the tenant has been assigned a Microsoft Plan which includes Exchange Online.  

Cause:  The Customer does not consume a Exchange Online License, I.e. Exchange Online Plan 1  
Solution: Check under the Microsoft Online Customer Service that a license has an applicable Exchange Online license.
