Microsoft Online Service Deployment

Objective

This article provides a guide to installing the Microsoft Online (MSOL) service into the Atria Platform. 

Web Service and Schema Installation

The first step for the deployment of any new Service is to install the Web Service (if required) and its associated Service Schema.  Some services will only require a scheme installation to be performed.  Please refer to the Services section of the following article for deploy instructions:  Atria v12.11+ Deployment-Guide

AtriaAzureAD, AtriaMSOL, and AtriaMSOLWS can installed all together on the provisioning server
For the service schema, install first the atriaazuread before proceeding with atriamsol
You might encounter errors if this is not done in sequence

Once the installation of your Service is completed successfully you can proceed to the next section.

Configure the Azure AD service

  1. Enable the service (top level):
    1. From the Atria menu bar, choose Configuration > System Manager > Service Deployment.
    2. Expand Customer Plans, add/verify the information and then click Save.
  2. Enable the service (location level):
    1. Under Service Filter, select Active Directory Location Services and choose a Location Filter, if applicable.
    2. Double-check customer plans are enabled and then click Save.

Configure the Microsoft Online (MSOL) service

  1. Enable the service (top level):
    1. From the Atria menu bar, choose Configuration > System Manager > Service Deployment.
    2. Expand User Plans, add/verify the information and then click Save.
  2. Enable the service (location level):
    1. Under Service Filter, select Active Directory Location Services and choose a Location Filter, if applicable.
    2. Double-check user plans are enabled and then click Save.
  3. Add the MSOL web service credentials
    1. From the server where atriamsolws was installed, using command prompt retrieve the password of the MSOL app pool credentials. Guide: How to get the credentials from an IIS AppPool
    2. From the Atria menu bar, choose Configuration > System Manager > Credentials
    3. Input the login credentials retrieved for MSOL web service
  4. Set Atria MSOL server role
    1. From the Atria menu bar, choose Configuration > System Manager > Server Role
    2. Expand the server where the MSOL web service was installed
    3. Set the "Atria MSOL" server connection component and then click Save
  5. Create a server connection
    1. From the Atria menu bar, choose Configuration > System Manager > Server Connection
    2. Choose New Connection, manage the configuration and then Save.
      1. Set the server role to Atria MSOL
      2. By default, it will select the server that was assigned with Atria MSOL role
      3. Set the credentials to the Atria MSOL web service credentials
      4. Set the protocol - default is HTTP
      5. Set the port - default is 8095
      6. Set the timeout - default 200000
    3. After saving, test the connection by clicking on the Test icon.

Now that Service Deployment is complete, you may now proceed with the Connecting Atria to Microsoft Partner Center
